With a past nasty experience of spilling water over my previous laptop's keyboard area and rendering it uneconomical to repair it, I had no choice but to spend $$$ to buy a new Laptop recently (well, to look at it positively, as the saying goes: "The OLD one don't go, The NEW one can't come!"...).
The only difference is that this time round, I told and reminded myself many times that I "DIE DIE" must go and buy 1 of those Keyboard Protector for Laptops to use on my new Notebook to ensure the same tragedy don't happen to me again... Personally, I felt that the rationale is the same as buying insurance (in this case the protector) for the Laptop, just that this is a very small amount of insurance that we can buy & undertake ourselves to ensure longer useful life of our beloved Laptops...
My husband had helped me to do 'market intelligence' for these protectors from well-known retailers (like the one who likes to Challenge others, Kourts, Dest Benki & the many other computer shops in SLS & Funan) and found prices ranging from S$10++ or more!!!
